Today on the blog, we are swooning over this stunning Charlottesville, Virginia wedding inspiration shoot that was dreamt up by Chancey Charm Washington, DC + Charlottesville Wedding Planner, Alana Futcher. We love everything about this editorial shoot – from the color palette to the amazing vendor team. So often, winter weddings are paired with muted color palettes. But this shoot is bold, bright + anything but boring. Alana and the vendor team used rich emerald tones, reds and pinks, gold, and even navy blue to create a dreamy winter wedding palette that proves pops of color aren’t just for spring and summer weddings.

The stunning gold, emerald + diamond engagement ring and wedding band from Trumpet & Horn perfectly mirrored the Stationery from Farmstead Design Studio with calligraphy by Jodi Macfarlan Calligraphy. Gold calligraphy on bright paper – it doesn’t get much prettier than that! With Early Mountain Vineyards as a blank canvas for the reception design, this color palette transitioned into a tablescape full of personality. With natural wood chairs and farm tables, the florals, velvet runner and gold chargers + glassware popped in the room and made for an amazing focal point atop the Paisley and Jade rug underneath the table.

Did we mention that the couple’s vows are written in calligraphy on the candles that adorn the tablescape to further personalize this wedding inspiration? The Monique Lhuillier gown was the icing on the cake with lace detail and horsehair trim, tying in both modern and classic wedding style. And speaking of icing on the cake, the wedding cake is a three tier emerald and gold shimmery masterpiece that’s (almost) too pretty to eat!

We’re sharing some of our favorite details below, captured beautifully by Amy Nicole Photography! For more coverage of this Charlottesville winter wedding inspiration, see the full feature on Ruffled Blog: Mountain Winter Wedding Inspiration with Emerald.
