We love a good Southern wedding, and this one was a favorite y’all! When Chesne and Raul got engaged, they immediately knew the historic Swan House in Atlanta was the venue for them. When it came to picking their date, she used the method any good Southern girl would – an outdoor wedding after May would be too hot and fall is for football, so May 7th it was! When dreaming up inspiration for their wedding, they drew from the venue’s historic charm and incorporated details that embodied what the South meant to them: “hospitable, romantic, delicious, fun, and in full bloom.” Does it get any more perfect?
Many of their guests were out-of-towners, visiting Atlanta for the first time, so it was really important to C+R that they show their loved ones their beloved city through their eyes. Their welcome boxes featured Georgia peaches, individual Coke bottles, a Garden and Gun magazine, and other personalized details. From that initial hospitable Southern welcome to the late night Chick-fil-A snack, their wedding was truly all they wanted it to be for their guests.
