What’s your area of expertise?
Floral and event design specializing in florals, decor rentals, lighting and draping.
First job you ever landed
We worked with a great couple that were planning their wedding on the Vineyard from another state. Aside from her fun DIY decor, her florals were gorgeous collections of wild flowers. The combo of the two created a warm, fun and laid-back beach wedding!
What brought you to the wedding industry?
The love of design and florals! Having grown up on a farm, I was always picking flowers from our garden and creating arrangements. My passion grew into helping friends with their wedding florals and years later, I decide to make it my career.

A lesson you’ve learned the hard way in the wedding industry
Great question, I think I still learn with every wedding we do! I think great communication is key not only with my design team, but also with other vendors as well as the venue itself. There is a TON of work that goes on behind the scenes in terms of the setup and delivery of the florals and decor and being sure that we are all on the same page is vital to the success of the day. We are all servicing the client, but because our focus is on our individual product, it all needs to come together and work well.
Favorite way to spend a Sunday afternoon
Aww, I love spending Sunday quiet afternoons on my farm in the garden or just relaxing with my dogs and husband!
Best piece of advice to someone new to the wedding industry
I think a sense of community is really important, and although we all compete to earn the same business, having good friends in the business is more important. We all rely on each other and help each other out when needed.

Best piece of planning advice to a new bride
Create a team of great vendors, they are your support team for the entire day! Be sure to meet with them, connect with them and be sure they are a good fit for your wedding day.
Some words you live by
I strongly believe in the power of positive thinking. If you have a positive approach to all things in life, you typically see the good in all.
Best tip for balancing work + home life
Organization! Always living a well balanced, healthy lifestyle.
Best moment of your career
The best moment of my career is literally every time we leave an event and the job exceeded my expectations and the client’s. It’s the best feeling in the world to work hard, countless hours as a team and sit back and look at the beauty that was just an idea at one time. It’s very rewarding and so fulfilling and never gets old!
