What’s your area of expertise?
First job you ever landed
Sandwich artist at Subway
What brought you to the wedding industry?
A desire to grow my hospitality career beyond a brick-and-mortar restaurant.
A lesson you’ve learned the hard way in the wedding industry
Set your price point and live by it. Give great value for your rates and don’t worry about landing every lead with discounts.
Favorite way to spend a Sunday afternoon
Mass, followed by a picnic. There’s a model airplane field in a rural area not far from my house that my young son loves to go to and watch the planes.
Best piece of advice to someone new to the industry
Early is on-time, on-time is late, and late is unacceptable.
Best piece of advice to a new bride
Skip the signature drinks. They may seem a fancy match to a fancy party, but your guests will walk up to the bar and order what they already drink in life. Remember they are your guests, give ’em what they want.
Some words you live by
Live music is best
Best tip for balancing work + home life
That question should read “home and work life”, not the other way around.
Best moment of your career
Opening my first bar.
Scotch and race cars.
What’s your favorite aesthetic?
What’s the first thing a newly engaged couple should do?
Enjoy being engaged. It’s a special period that won’t happen again.
