The Chancey Charm team is constantly working with other creatives to bring a couple’s vision to life and we start to form friendships with those whom with we work best (see our Preferred Partners on each location’s page). So when one of Skylar Caitlin’s, Chancey Charm Houston Wedding Planner, closest photographer friends moved to San Antonio from Houston, they wanted to find a way to keep serving couples together and decided to meet up in The Wedding Capitol of Texas for a Hill Country Garden Wedding Inspiration shoot that celebrated the creatives and artisans from across the state!
Becki of Smith House Photography and Skylar envisioned a transplant couple in Houston with a heart for adventure who wants to show off their new home state to their out-of-town guests. While it may be the wedding capitol of Texas, it certainly doesn’t feel crowded or full of the tourists. It’s a getaway fit for the adventurers and glampers alike.
Florist Lauren of Flora and Fauna brought a fun mix of loose, garden styled arrangements. They were so stunning even the bees couldn’t stay away! With delphiniums, anemones, tulips, and the most textured ranunculi ever, these arrangements will go down as favorites. The bridesmaids got an artisanal touch to go with their Jenny Yoo separates supplied by Brideside. The Botanist Co, a handmade bridal accessories designer out of Houston, provided dainty gold floral hair pieces that looked gorgeous on both the up-do and short-haired bridesmaid styles. And let’s talk about that Hayley Paige beauty! Voluminous, blush, and named after the team’s favorite Star’s Hollow resident; the Lorelei – fitted by San Antonio’s Bella Bride Boutique – was everything we imagined from an HP gown and more. The culmination of all this stylishness was brought to life when the team at Lola Beauty from Austin knocked out the hair and makeup vision – natural, refined, and light – out of the park.
For our tablescape, Box Sparrow Studios crafted a set of dreamy dinnerware. The speckled salad plates with gold detailing and the vibrant dinner plates that grounded the entire tabletop. Whim Hospitality laid the foundation for the vignettes with their large farm tables, textured linen options, and unique folding chairs that suited the wooded backdrop. Lazywood Lane calligraphed the bride and groom’s place cards on the most delicate handmade paper. With deckled edges, hand drawn illustrations, and vintage velvet ribbon, the entire paper suite shines with character and personal touches. Vintage glassware, like the blue set used here from Revisionist Events, is one of our favorite ways to bring something special to a headtable. And underneath it all was a gorgeous natural silk runner from Honey Silks Co. It added the perfect light texture to our open-air reception setting.
2 Tarts Bakery created some sugary goodness – a cool grey herringbone base, finespun fondant leaves and berries, and a hand painted quote that matched the invitation suite. And we couldn’t forget the Texas staple bourbon pecan pie, a groom’s cake alternative. The beverage station featured a wide variety of the Revisionist Events’ blue vintage glassware collection. The infused water was a blue and green concoction of blueberries, blackberries, mint, lime, and green apple which we imagined would be a refreshing respite during a Texas summer wedding.
