Spring is one of our favorite seasons for Chancey Charm clients to say “I do”. Blossoming blooms, perfect weather and the prettiest pastel wedding color palettes. What’s not to love about a spring wedding? This Virginia wedding inspiration was dreamt up with all this and more in mind to inspire brides looking to create a thoughtful, romantic springtime wedding. Wedding planner and designer Alana Futcher of Chancey Charm Washington, DC + Charlottesville began dreaming about her favorite moments and aspects of a real wedding – that first bite of cake as husband and wife, sweet stolen moments reflecting on your vows, and endless reminders of love and celebration.
The Mill at Fine Creek was the perfect backdrop for this inspiration to come together. With textured stone walls, the soft elements such as the color palette of plush and gold, really popped and created a fun juxtaposition. Cream hydrangeas and roses in varying shades of pinks graced the estate table and cake, and made for a beautiful wedding bouquet when mixed in with lambs ear and seeded eucalyptus. A timeless calligraphy script, which appeared in the invitation suite, menu, and signage allowed the other decor to shine, yet served as the muse for the entire wedding design. One of our favorite design elements ended up being the romantic lyrics from Train’s “Marry Me” written in this pretty script, which hung ever so delicately from a brick backdrop.
Now that the wait is over
And love has finally shown her my way
Today and every day
