Stoney and Kay envisioned an intimate lakeside wedding that beautifully reflected their love for Lake Lanier, their faith, and their closest loved ones—and they brought that vision to life in breathtaking detail. Their custom-designed family crest, inspired by 1 Corinthians 13:4–7, adorned everything from napkins and stirrers to the DJ booth, symbolizing a love rooted in faith. Thoughtful touches made the day uniquely theirs, including a surprise groom’s cake in the shape of a bowling bowl honoring Stoney’s career as a professional bowler. Guests were greeted with a pre-cocktail hour before the ceremony with delicious mocktails at the bar and renowned violinist, Ansar Mahmudlu, playing the violin.

After the ceremony (many tears were shed, as these two were a “Golden Bachelor” and “Golden Bachelorette” before they met) guests gathered around a stunning 76-seat estate table—the largest ever created by Johnnie & Co. Events—to share an unforgettable meal by the lake as the sun set.

As the evening drew to a close, the couple made a grand exit aboard the Hickory boat, featuring their names and family crest, sailing away into the night as newlyweds. As guests exited for the nighey they took home large glass bottles of honey sourced from the bride’s very own bee hive at home and inscribed with a special note from the couple.
