At Chancey Charm, we’re proud to work alongside some incredibly talented planners across the country—each with their own distinct style and regional expertise. Today, we’re thrilled to share a real wedding brought to life by one of our Atlanta-based planning partners. From Southern tradition to whimsical details (with a healthy dose of Yellow Jacket pride), this Georgia Tech love story is the perfect blend of personal touches and unforgettable moments.

For Caroline and Jason, Atlanta isn’t just where they’re from—it’s home to their love story. Both proud Georgia Tech graduates and lifelong Atlantans, they wanted their wedding to feel like a true reflection of who they are, where they’ve been, and what they love most: each other, their alma mater, and the city that brought them together.

Their wedding day was a stunning blend of Southern tradition, Yellow Jacket pride, and whimsical wonder. With thoughtful nods to Georgia Tech and Atlanta at every turn—and a surprise theme twist that had everyone smiling—it was truly unforgettable.

Ceremony in the Garden: A Love in Full Bloom

Surrounded by lush greenery and vibrant floral displays, Caroline and Jason exchanged vows in the Skyline Garden, framed by the natural beauty of Atlanta’s most iconic outdoor space. The couple kept things classic with soft, romantic florals and subtle Georgia Tech accents—think navy ribbon programs with Tech Tower illustrations and a string quartet playing the Alma Mater as the bride walked down the aisle.

It was elegant, heartfelt, and unmistakably them.

Cocktail Hour: ATL Flavors, Georgia Tech Charm

Caroline and Jason treated guests to an Atlanta-style cocktail hour complete with peach bellinis, gourmet deviled eggs, and mini chicken and waffles. Cocktail napkins were printed with fun facts about their love story and their favorite Atlanta hangouts. Buzz, Georgia Tech’s beloved mascot, was already mingling with guests—snapping selfies, passing out hugs, and bringing energy from the very beginning.

Reception: Alice in Wonderland Meets Tech Tradition

The reception was pure magic—an Alice in Wonderland-inspired dreamland with a Georgia Tech twist. From the moment guests stepped into the ballroom, they were transported down the rabbit hole. Long banquet tables were layered with vintage tea sets, whimsical florals spilling out of teacups, and oversized playing cards tucked into arrangements. Georgia Tech pride was still center stage—blue and gold accents anchored the fantasy. Buzz never left the dance floor, keeping guests on their feet all night long. The dessert display was a standout moment: custom cookies shaped like Buzz, the Georgia Tech logo, and Coca-Cola bottles (a nod to the Atlanta-born brand) surrounded a whimsical cake.

The Details That Made It Theirs

  • Guest Book Reimagined: Instead of a traditional guest book, guests left heartfelt voicemails using a vintage-style guest phone book—a sweet and personal keepsake the couple will treasure forever
  • Late-night bites: Mini sliders and fries served in branded World of Coca-Cola containers.
  • Favor station: Guests left with custom GT + Coca-Cola cookies boxed in gold tins with “From Atlanta, With Love.”

The Grand Exit: A Ramblin’ Wreck Send-Off

After a private last dance beneath a canopy of string lights and floating clocks, Caroline and Jason made their way outside where guests lined the walk waving gold pom-poms. They drove off in the iconic Georgia Tech Ramblin’ Wreck, honking as they waved goodbye—leaving behind a trail of confetti, laughter, and Tech pride. Caroline and Jason’s wedding was a celebration of love, legacy, and a little bit of magic. By blending their roots, their school spirit, and a touch of fantasy, they created an experience that was as memorable as it was meaningful. One part Southern charm, one part whimsical wonder, and all heart—just like the two of them.
