When did you open? OR What Is the history of your venue?
Separk Mansion is a historic family home, built and owned by textile mill owners native to the area. We are officially 103 years old this year. This space has had many lives. After it’s life as a family home, the space became offices for a law firm and an ad agency. My mother worked here in the 1980’s. It was also occupied by the Elk’s Club before the current owners bought the property and turned it into a wedding venue. We have been hosting weddings for the last 10 years and loving every minute of it!
What is the best feature of your venue for couples on the venue hunt?
We have an All Inclusive Package that includes so much value! It makes the planning process a lot easier and so many of the vendors already come booked or are detailed on our preferred vendor list, so couples can lock down the big details for wedding day super quickly.
How many people does your venue hold for an event?
Our max capacity is 250 guests and our package minimum is 100 guests.
What perks does your space come with? (tables, chairs, stunning views, etc.)
The All Inclusive Package comes with tables, chairs, in house linen options, 2 months of wedding planning and day of coordination with a representative from the venue, a 4 hour house beer/wine bar (options available for full bar), a standard buffet dinner from your choice of 2 caterers (upgrade options like plated style dinners and upgraded menu selections available), floating candles and centerpiece options, ceremony chandelier and aisle markers, bridal and groom’s suite on site, and a wedding cake from one of our two bakers.
Best piece of planning advice to a couple who just got engaged.
Lock down those vendors! Once you have your main vendors, it makes you feel a lot more at ease. The best thing to do once you find your venue is ask which vendors they love working with. People who know our space really well end up being able to focus on the couple more since they already know how they will setup in the space.
