Why did you decide to open your venue?
We believe that The Nest was a part of God’s plan for our lives! We never had intentions of building a wedding venue, but when we purchased land in Ponder, TX we all somehow knew that it was destined to be used for something larger than ourselves. When the idea arose to build a wedding/event venue, we knew that even with our diverse backgrounds in interior design, marketing, and visual merchandising, that this was exactly what we were supposed to do. We love building new relationships with people and watching their dreams become reality, so naturally owning a wedding venue would allow for this passion and love for people to flourish all the more. Being a part of couple’s stories, and getting to be a witness to this special season of their lives is truly an honor for us!

No more than 300
What makes your venue unique?
We have so many things that set us apart! Our serene location is unbeatable, and our Ponder sunsets are like no other! As far as the venue goes, we have a very open concept which can be interpreted many different ways, depending on the vision of the bride & coordinator! We also have long crisp white banquet seating in the bridal suite, which allows for the bride to have all of her people surrounding her as she is getting ready. Lastly, we are a family owned and operated faith based company, so our clients are not going to feel like another number. From the initial emails to when you step inside The Nest, we want all our clients to know how special they are and that they matter!
Best piece of planning advice to a new bride
As far as planning the wedding day, leave it to the pros! Hire a wedding coordinator who understands what is important to you and is going to alleviate all stress and worry from you and your family. Also, invest in premarital counseling! This is just one day of the rest of your lives, so do the hard work before your marriage so you are both on the same page with everything! Also, include each other in the decisions! This is a great time to start the process of coming together as one!
