In August, Chris mentioned a business conference he wanted to attend in Nashville and I was happy to snag a ride + spot to crash for a week in one of my favorite cities.  The craziest part is that I left Nashville, even more in love with it’s fun downtown scene, vibrant event industry, music scene, AND our stellar team there.  We shared a townhome, only a few minutes from downtown and Belmont, with our family for the week, and the view from the rooftop deck was amazing.  It was even better at night, if you can imagine that!

I was super lucky that our lead Nashville wedding planner, Ashley Bourque, was in town that week and kind enough to not only show me around but treat me to a day I’ll always cherish.  She is the sweetest AND her and her husband Wes are 150% two of the most legit foodies I know.  So… yes – it was an amazing visit + tour.  We started the day together at the Frothy Monkey and then made our way over to Five Daughter’s Bakery.  Major food goals within a 30-minute window, in the cutest part of town.  Then, because she knows me so well, we checked out Draper James and a few other photo opportunities.

**Fun fact about Nashville that Ashley shared, there are a TON of fun art installs, ready for your Instagram photos.  Some of them can even attract long lines, but luckily we were exploring early in the day.  Nashville has also become a bachelorette party hot spot, and I would have to agree with how perfect it is for a bride to be + her crew.

While with Ashley, I was lucky enough to get to check out our friends at Music City Tents & Events and see their latest inventory + talk linens (a favorite).  I know we’re so grateful for their partnership in Nashville, and I can’t wait to see a few of the weddings Ashley was chatting with them about while we visited.  It sounds like we’ve got some gorgeous designs ahead for our Nashville couples!

We ended the day with the best treat ever. (Ashley is the sweetest y’all!) I had wayyyyyy too much fun picking out a container and making a candle at The Candle Bar, with her. I chose a black coconut & amber scent with a frosted pink glass container – because it reminded us of the beach. This place is such a fun concept + great idea for a team building activity with your team or day out with your ladies. We ended our day together chatting over lunch at Stay Golden, a new Nashville favorite and the cutest lil spot for brunch or lunch.

A few more highlights of my time in Nashville included an amazing night with our family at the Grand Ole Opry, (thanks to my amazing aunt and uncle) and dinner at Monell’s, such a classic Nashville recommendation from Ashley!

I also snagged some time with one of our amazing Charlotte planners, Lindsay Rowell, who was in town for the weekend. And, I got a full tour of a stellar downtown venue that Ashley works at, The George Jones, which is located right on the river with stunning views in every direction!  Last, but certainly not least, I’ve got to give a shout out to Pinewood Social.  I mean, this place is everyone’s favorite right?! My top choice for a work date in Nashville, and probably one of the best spots I’ve seen to connect in my travels.
